As part of MIPRO 2026, the STEP-AI Forum will take place on May 27, 2026, in Opatija. The event is a business-focused AI and HPC forum dedicated to connecting artificial intelligence, high-performance computing (HPC), industry, research and the public sector.
The forum is organized by MIPRO and CroAI with the aim of opening discussions on the real-world application of artificial intelligence in business, the development of the European AI ecosystem, digital infrastructure and the future of industry through the concept of “inorganic intelligence”.
The program will bring together leading Croatian and international experts from the fields of artificial intelligence, industry, European institutions, science and technology. Topics will include European AI and HPC strategies, industrial AI applications, AI infrastructure and data centers, AI Factories and AI Antennas, as well as the development of smart industry and the digital transformation of the economy.
Organizers emphasize that the forum is designed as a platform for connecting technological innovation with practical economic implementation, at a time when artificial intelligence is increasingly becoming a strategic component of European competitiveness and industrial development.
In addition to lectures and panel discussions, accredited media representatives will have the opportunity to arrange interviews with speakers and participants and gain access to additional event materials.
